Volunteers
Volunteers at the House of John perform a wide variety of tasks, including resident care and family support. No special skills are needed, only the desire to help and the completion of a short training course. The first step is to fill out an application.

When we receive it, we will call you to schedule a 15 minute interview with Carole Jensen, House Director. Following the interview, you may want to start "Shadowing", spending some time with an experienced volunteer during his/her shift in order to familiarize yourself with House procedures. You will be asked to take the next available volunteer training class. After completion of the class, you will be asked to make a committment of no less than 4 hours per month as a volunteer.
We also need volunteers to prepare meals at home and deliver them to House of John, help with special clerical projects, and clean house.
